Seeking God's will in your life

I am going to share some tidbits with you that I learned a long while back from, Gregg Matte, in regards to seeking and finding God's will in your life. Gregg Matte is the pastor of Beth Moore's church and he wrote a book called "Finding God's Will". This information was shared in an interview that he did with Susie Larson several months ago. I dug out my notes yesterday and I remembered how fantastic this interview was! Gregg is a NEAT GUY!!! Take a look at some of these notes and see if they inspire some thoughts, or ideas, that might help you. Ask yourself:
What have been my defining moments?

Three steps:
1. Be faithful in what you are doing.
2. Look for signs (God's signs)
3. Take the next step.

Seek Him, know Him, take the next step.

Ask God, "How can you use my struggles?"
Once we have gone through a hardship we have compassion where we used to have judgment.
"Take your misery and make it your ministry."

God's general will for everyone:
1. Have a relationship with Him.
2. Grow in that relationship.
3. Make an impact.

Your specific will is going to be found as you spend time finding your general will.

God is going to provide for His will. If He didn't it would take away from His glory. His will is ALWAYS accompanied by His power.

Be diligent right where you are at.

God sees the past, the present, and the future all the way through.

Ephesians 3:20-21
"Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen."
